Modeling of effective properties of composites with
interfacial microcracks using PHA model

Abstract
Effective thermoelastic properties of unidirectional brittle
matrix composites containing interfacial cracks and cavities
are found in terms of phase thermoelastic moduli and certain
thermal and mechanical concentration factors. An inverse
approach is implemented to derive required results for the
state of damage associated with current debonding angle $\phi^{*}$.
An nalysis employes the finite element method for a representative
volume element of the periodic geometry to carry out the
numerical calculations.
